The Benton House garden is a resource for the Bridgeport community. We are continuing the mission of providing for the food pantry as well as offering educational opportunities. Some projects to look forward to are:

• indoor mycology
• winterizing the garden
• reconstructing the polyethylene structures to allow for late fall/early spring growing
• updating the vermiculture composting system
• starting new systems of compost
• collecting seeds
• Renewing the soil
• Supporting and reaching out to other Chicago urban agriculture projects
